About the Event

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming various industries, driving innovation and efficiency. To harness this potential and foster a culture of creativity and problem-solving, DOST VI will be organizing an AI Hackathon as part of the celebration of the 2024 Regional Science, Technology, and Innovation Week in Western Visayas on August 22-24, 2024. This event will bring together 50 college students who are developers, data scientists, and AI enthusiasts to collaboratively solve real-world problems using AI technologies.

The Western Visayas AI Hackathon is the first AI Hackathon that will be conducted in the region. It will bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, providing student participants with hands-on experience and the opportunity to showcase their skills.
